Dr Amit Aggarwal is a distinguished urologist specializing in robotic surgery, uro-oncology, renal stone disease, prostate disease, sexual health disorders, andrology and various other urological procedures. His areas of expertise include robotic prostatectomy (prostate cancer), robotic partial nephrectomy (kidney cancer), robotic cystectomy (urinary bladder cancer), kidney transplant, stone diseases and sexual health. A strong proponent of evidence-based medicine, he aspires to providing comprehensive counselling and treatment for urological diseases with a prime focus on an individualized approach.

Dr Aggarwal has had an exceptional academic career, earning his MBBS and Masters in General Surgery at Aligarh Muslim University, one of the country’s leading medical institutes. Afterwards, he completed training in urology from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Dr Aggarwal further specialized in robotic uro-oncology and robotic renal transplant through a fellowship affiliated with the Vattikuti Foundation, USA.

Throughout his medical career, Dr Aggarwal has awarded numerous scholarships and fellowships, allowing him to train at prestigious institutions such as the Cleveland Clinic (ranked the top urology department in the US), the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (an Ivy league institution), and the Global Robotics Institute in Florida, where he trained under Dr Vipul Patel, who has performed over 18,000 – the highest number worldwide. He also honed his robotic surgery skills at the Brady Urology Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital, USA.

He was part of the team that performed the world’s first extraperitoneal multi-port robot-assisted kidney transplant. He is one of the very few urologist who has received training in single port robotics.

A keen researcher, he is actively involved in multi-institutional urological disease studies. Dr Aggarwal has authored over 50 articles and book chapters in peer-reviewed Indian and international journals of repute and has received numerous accolades and awards for his contribution to this field.
